Street Cartage has been trucking since 1949. We are located at 4278 Oil Heritage Road, Petrolia Ontario, strategically located between London and Sarnia. We have a fully secure yard, fenced and equipped with surveillance cameras.
As a FAST/C-TPAT and CSA/PIP approved carrier we have all the necessary credentials to meet the strict border security protocols. We are also Canada Customs bonded and a WBE-certified woman-owned business
Our main transportation corridor is from the Toronto/Guelph area through the Bluewater Bridge at Sarnia/Port Huron into various points in Michigan. With a complement of custom built 53’ 4 and 5 axle dry van trailers which can haul up to 72,000 lbs into Michigan, and several flatbeds, tandem vans, and curtain side trailers, we can handle all of your transportation needs.
We’re in Toronto on a daily basis and offer very competitive rates coming back to Sarnia, Michigan, and Ohio.
To provide reliable, punctual service, we have equipped all of our trucks with GPS trackers so we know where our fleet is at all times. We can keep you updated via email or telephone about the location of your freight whenever you like. Also, we have partnered with FourKites and Descartes Macropoint, for customers who wish to track their freight through those services.
Some freight needs a flatbed trailer, and we have several stepdecks available, and do tarping when required. We also have curtain side/rolling tarp trailers for those loads that are tricky to tarp.
Although heavy haul dry van lanes between Ontario and Michigan is our main focus, we offer service to Midwestern and North-Eastern states, too. Our Tandem Vans and flatbeds are available to service these parts of the United States for freight up to 44,000 lbs.
Often freight must be protected from the cold; chemicals, food, paint, for example. Our dry vans are insulated and equipped with a 50,000 BTU Carrier Solara diesel heater to do just that.
All our drivers are certified to haul hazardous materials/dangerous goods and are fully trained in safety and emergency measures. We haul all categories except classes 1 – explosives, 6.2 – infectious substances and 7 – radioactive materials.
Here at Street Cartage, we haven’t forgotten our roots. Our van and flatbed service is available by the hour to the Chemical Valley, Sarnia, Courtright, and surrounding areas.
